What Should My Child Wear?

A good rule of thumb is simple and solid. Busy prints, logos, and characters can distract from your child’s face—and that’s what we want to shine! Soft, neutral, or jewel tones work beautifully. Try to avoid neon colors, as they can reflect onto your child’s skin in photos. Most importantly, choose something your child feels comfortable in. When they feel good, they look confident and relaxed in their portraits.

How Should My Child Style Their Hair?

Aim for a hairstyle that keeps hair out of their face—we want to see those beautiful eyes! If your child is particular about their hair, practice the style a few days before so they feel comfortable on picture day.

How Will I Order Photos?

About a week after picture day, you’ll receive an email with a link to your child’s private online gallery. Each gallery includes 3–5 images to choose from. Ordering is simple:

  • Select your favorites

  • Choose prints or digital downloads

  • Place your order within 7 days

Printed photos will be delivered directly to the school. Any digital images you purchase will be sent by email for easy downloading and sharing.

Do I Need to Pay Anything Before Picture Day?

Nope! There’s nothing to pay up front. With Laurie LaPorte Photography, you only purchase the photos you love. Within a week of picture day, you’ll receive an email with a link to your child’s private online gallery. Your player will have 3–5 images to choose from.

Ordering is simple:

  • Select your favorites

  • Choose prints or digital downloads

What Should My Child Wear?

Your player should arrive in full uniform—this includes hat or helmet, jersey, pants or shorts, belt, and socks.

Eye black reminder: If you’d prefer your child not be photographed with eye black, please make sure it’s removed before their team lines up for pictures.

 

Do We Need to Bring Any Equipment?

Please bring your player’s glove for baseball photos. If your child has a favorite bat or ball, feel free to bring it. Otherwise, equipment will be available and provided by the coach.

 

Can Parents Take Cell Phone Photos During Picture Day?

We kindly ask that parents refrain from taking photos during the picture session. Picture day moves quickly, and players are more cooperative when their attention is focused on the photographer—not a parent behind them trying to snap a photo. Let us capture their best moment!
