Mount Hunger Tree Farm Mini Session Guide

Everything you need to know before your session!

I can’t wait to see you at the tree farm for your holiday mini session! These sessions are short, fun, and a great way to capture your family in this cozy, festive setting. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to make your session smooth and enjoyable.

Session Overview

Each mini session lasts about 10 minutes and includes a gallery of 10-15 edited images delivered to you within two weeks. I’ll guide you through simple, natural prompts so your photos feel relaxed and connected - no need to stress about posing!

Parking & Where to Meet

Your session will take place at Mount Hunger Christmas Tree Farm, located at 349 Mt Hunger Rd, Henniker, NH 03242. You will park in the second lot at the bottom of the hill, not the main entrance (see map).

When you arrive, walk past the first patch of trees - there will be a break before the second bunch of trees. If you don’t see me right away, I’m likely finishing up with another family - just hang tight, and I’ll come find you.

Arrival

Sessions are scheduled back-to-back. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before your session time so we can start promptly.

What to Wear

The setting is full of green trees and soft light, so neutral, earthy, or muted tones photograph beautifully.
Think cozy textures — sweaters, scarves, flannels, corduroy, or denim. Avoid large logos or bright/neon colors that can distract from your face.

Footwear tip: The ground can be uneven, so comfortable shoes or boots are best (even if you change into them just for photos).

Weather Plan

Light snow or drizzle can make for magical photos! If we’re expecting heavy rain or unsafe conditions, I’ll reach out to you by 5:00 PM the evening before your session with rescheduling options. Mount Hunger is very accommodating with rescheduling.

Farm Rules & Courtesy

Please stay within the photo area and avoid moving or climbing trees.
If you bring snacks or treats for little ones, just be sure to clean up any wrappers before you go — we want to keep the farm as beautiful as we found it!

Pets are welcome as long as they’re leashed and well-behaved — please bring waste bags and water.

After Your Session

About two weeks after your session, you’ll receive an email with a link to your gallery. From there, you can download your images and order prints or extra downloads right through your gallery—super easy!

If you purchased the complete package, all of the images in your gallery are included.
If you went with the basic package, five images are included, and you’ll have the option to purchase more—either individually for $50 each or upgrade to the full gallery for $150.

Quick Tips for a Great Mini Session

Have kids fed, dressed, and ready before you arrive.
Leave bulky coats in the car until it’s your turn.
Bring a small treat or toy if you know it helps your child smile.
Relax — I’ll guide you through everything and keep it fun!

Make It a Memory

After your photos, take a few minutes to wander the farm! Many families love to pick a special ornament for their tree, grab hot cocoa, or let the kids explore before heading home.
